Job Description

Zest Education are currently seeking a Female PE teacher to join a Secondary School in the Redditch area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team in an environment that is passionate about sport and physical activity. This is a full time role due to commence in October 2024. The role is expected to run for a minimum of one term. This role is open to female applicants only due to the sensitive nature of changing room supervision.

The school boasts a fantastic sports hall and brand new PE equipment, providing an ideal setting for delivering high-quality PE lessons. As the PE teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to students of all abilities, promoting a love for physical activity and healthy living. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching PE, with a passion for inspiring and motivating young people. You will have excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and be able to deliver a wide range of activities across various sporting disciplines.

Key responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons to students of all abilities
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Promote a love for physical activity
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as required
– Assist in the organisation and delivery of school sports events and extracurricular activities
– Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular links and promote interdisciplinary learning

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Specialism in Physical Education or relevant subject
– Experience teaching PE at secondary school level
– Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living
– Ability to inspire and motivate students
– Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
