Zest Education are currently seeking a Female PE teacher to join a Secondary School in the Solihull area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team in an environment that is passionate about sport and physical activity. This is a full time role due to commence in April 2024. The role is expected to run for the rest of the academic year. This role is open to female applicants only due to the sensitive nature of changing room supervision.

The school boasts a fantastic sports hall and brand new PE equipment, providing an ideal setting for delivering high-quality PE lessons. As the PE teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to students of all abilities, promoting a love for physical activity and healthy living. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching PE, with a passion for inspiring and motivating young people. You will have excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and be able to deliver a wide range of activities across various sporting disciplines.

Key responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons to students of all abilities
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Promote a love for physical activity
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as required
– Assist in the organisation and delivery of school sports events and extracurricular activities
– Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular links and promote interdisciplinary learning

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Specialism in Physical Education or relevant subject
– Experience teaching PE at secondary school level
– Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living
– Ability to inspire and motivate students
– Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events
