Physics Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a Physics teacher for a high-performing school in Burton. This is a full-time position starting in September 2024 for one initial term, with the possibility of extension based on the school’s needs.

This school, which has received a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted, has been consistently improving academically year after year. The staff and students are actively engaged in the wider community, and the school prides itself on fostering an environment where all students can achieve their best and become the best version of themselves.

The chosen candidate will join the science department and will be responsible for planning and marking the classes they will be teaching. As well as helping in the wider department.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
– A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that grants Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
– A strong passion for Physics and excellent knowledge of the subject at Key Stages 3 and 4 (although familiarity with Key Stage 5 would be advantageous, it is not mandatory).
– A team-oriented mindset and a desire to be part of a supportive team environment.
– The ability to plan, mark, and deliver high-quality lessons (planning and marking are only required for short or long-term placements).
– Proficient classroom and behaviour management skills.
