Teacher of Sociology

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a Teacher of Sociology to join an ambitious department at a secondary school in the Dudley area. This is a full-time role due to start in November 2024, and is expected to run for a minimum of one term.

This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to the development of an engaging and progressive curriculum. The school encourage innovative teaching methods that challenge students to think critically about society and its structures. In addition to teaching Sociology, there may be opportunities to teach other social science disciplines based on your background and expertise.

Successful candidates will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Sociology or a related subject
  • A strong enthusiasm for the subject of Sociology
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS4 and KS5 curriculum
  • A team ethos and the ability to build strong and professional relationships with both colleagues and pupils
  • Experience in classroom and behaviour management
