Job Description

Zest Education is delighted to be working with a supportive and inclusive school that is committed to providing high‑quality education for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. With a dedicated SEN team and strong leadership, this is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to make a lasting impact.

This role will begin in March 2026 and is offered as a full‑time position, Monday to Friday, on a long‑term contract. You will be based in a Year 4 classroom, where you will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and SLD. Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals, you will ensure that individual education plans (IEPs) are met and that pupils are supported both academically and emotionally.

Daily responsibilities will include planning and delivering differentiated lessons, creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment, leading and managing teaching assistants, monitoring progress, contributing to EHCP reviews, and implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning experiences. Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues will be central to your role in supporting holistic development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience teaching children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and SLD.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and strategies for differentiation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
