Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Full Time – West Heath

1:1 Behaviour Support | Immediate Start | Long‑term Role Until Summer

Zest Education is recruiting on behalf of a supportive and well‑established primary school in the West Heath area. We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full‑time basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the summer term.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about helping children thrive and confident in providing 1‑1 support for pupils with additional needs.


The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Work predominantly in Year 2, supporting a pupil with behavioural needs who has an EHCP in place
  • Provide consistent 1‑1 support to help the child engage, regulate and make progress
  • Work alongside class teachers, SENCOs and other staff to implement individual strategies
  • Carry out general TA duties, including supporting learning activities and group work
  • Be adaptable and willing to move across year groups when required
  • Foster a positive, calm and encouraging learning environment

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to making a meaningful difference in a child’s school experience.


What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Have previous 1‑1 experience, ideally supporting behavioural or additional needs
  • Be reliable, consistent, and confident in managing challenging behaviours
  • Have strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Be able to commit to the role until the end of the summer term

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
