Teaching Assistant

Zest Education is recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lichfield. This is a full‑time KS1 position, starting in September, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive during their early years of education.

You’ll be joining a supportive staff team who value creativity, consistency and child‑centred practice. The school has a warm, community‑focused ethos and is looking for someone who can contribute positively to classroom life.

The Role

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age‑appropriate lessons
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Help create a positive, nurturing classroom environment
• Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Provide tailored support to pupils who may need additional guidance
• Contribute to classroom organisation, preparation and daily routines
