Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties? We have a fantastic job opportunity for you at a special educational needs school in Rugeley.

At our school, we cater to children aged 3-11 who require additional support due to their complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing individualized and small group support to our students, assisting them across various areas of the curriculum.

To excel in this role, you must possess a resilient nature and have a strong ability to manage behaviour effectively. The students require a nurturing environment where they can thrive, and your passion for working with special educational needs students will be instrumental in creating that environment.

As an integral member of the dedicated team, you will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our highly experienced staff. Collaborating with professionals who are well-versed in supporting students with SEMH needs will further enhance your ability to make a positive impact on their lives.

Starting in January 2025, we have both full-time and part-time positions available for motivated individuals like yourself. Whether you are seeking a stable long-term career or looking to gain valuable experience in a special school setting, we have opportunities tailored to your needs.

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have previous experience working in a special school or a similar educational environment. This will ensure that you are familiar with the unique challenges and rewards that come with supporting students with special educational needs.

Your enthusiasm, confidence, and ability to identify and engage with different learning needs will be highly valued in our school community. By working collaboratively with the students, you will have the opportunity to witness real and significant progress, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
