Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to join the team at a primary school in Burton. This position is for 3 days a week with the potential to transition to full-time- starting immediately.

The primary school is a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that is committed to providing a high-quality education for all students. They have a dedicated team of educators who are passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space for children to thrive academically and personally and believe in providing comprehensive support and training for all staff members. As a Teaching Assistant, you will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced teachers and senior staff. You will also have access to professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of education.

Responsibilities:
– Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and activities
– Assisting with the preparation of learning materials
– Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
– Supervising students during break times and outings
– Collaborating with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
– A relevant qualification in education or childcare is preferred
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting student learning

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
