Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties? Zest Education is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants in a special educational needs school in Telford.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 5-19 to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting students with their learning, providing emotional support, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
We are offering both full-time and part-time positions for immediate start, with long-term opportunities available. Ideal candidates should be able to effectively engage with students, build strong relationships, and help them develop essential life skills. Experience in supporting individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is essential.
In this role, you will need to demonstrate resilience, confidence in behaviour management, and the ability to adapt to various responsibilities as needed. Establishing a warm and supportive relationship with students, promoting independence, and maintaining high behavioural expectations are key aspects of the position.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
