Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a primary special educational needs school located in Cannock. This position is due to start ASAP and will continue on a long-term basis for the right candidate.
You will be working with children from the age of 2-11 who have a range of moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum condition (ASC), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Your role will involve providing support to children with behaviour difficulties and implementing behaviour management plans when necessary.
One of the key aspects of this role is promoting and encouraging independence among the children. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their lives by assisting them in developing essential life skills.
To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or have worked in a care/support environment. Your understanding of the unique challenges faced by these children will be crucial in providing them with the support they need to thrive.
The successful candidate must be available to work from Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30. Flexibility and a positive attitude are highly valued qualities in this role.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
