Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time Teaching Assistant at a well-established Rednal school. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone who possesses a deep understanding of supporting children with additional needs and thrives in a dynamic educational environment.

As a TA, you will be an integral part of the school community, working across various year groups within KS1. Your role will involve providing support to both the whole class and smaller groups, as well as conducting one-on-one sessions. It is essential to have the ability to adapt your approach to cater to the diverse needs of the pupils.

The successful candidate will be empathetic, patient, and possess excellent communication skills. Your role will require active participation in the academic and personal development of the pupils, providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

This is a long-term position with the potential to become a permanent role starting in September 2024. This role offers a supportive team environment and professional development opportunities, as well as competitive rates of pay.

Requirements:

– NVQ Level 3 qualified (or above) in a relevant childcare qualification
– A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey
– Previous experience in a similar role
– Knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with additional requirements; including ADHD, autism, global delay and SEMH
– Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
