We have a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work in a special educational needs school located in Tamworth. This opportunity is to start in ASAP and will be ongoing for the remainder of the academic year.
This school caters for children from the age of seven to fourteen with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Due to the needs of the children, we are looking for someone that has previously worked with SEMH as you will be working with the children to overcome any barriers to learning and helping them experience success.
The school itself is a popular primary which encourages all children to develop into independent, respectful, and confident individuals. You will be required to work alongside the teacher supporting the children across all areas of the curriculum.
The role:
- You will need to be confident in your abilities to support individuals with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
- You will be joining a large staff team that provide a personalised learning experience for all students within the school.
- You will ideally have professional or personal experience of working with special educational needs.
