Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a renowned special educational needs school in Nuneaton.

The school caters for students from the age of 3-18 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). This schools mission is to unlock the full potential of every student within a vibrant school community by providing a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the students with their learning and development.

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  1. Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons to meet individual student needs.
  2. Providing one-on-one support to students with their academic work.
  3. Supporting students in developing their social and emotional skills.
  4. Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  5. Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure students’ progress.

 

To excel in this role, you must have a genuine passion for helping children, especially those with learning difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in Teaching as it will provide you with valuable first-hand experience.

 

 Requirements:

– Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

– A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education.

 

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
