Zest Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic special educational needs school in Lichfield. We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages.
This is a full-time position and is due to begin February 2024. This role will continue until the academic year with the view to go permanent if the right candidate is found.
The school caters for students from the age of 2-11 with Autism (ASC) and associated learning needs. You must have previous experience supporting individuals with SEND or mental health to be considered for this role.
The school offers a very broad and flexible curriculum, based around the interest of each learner and helping them to achieve their best outcomes. Learning takes place inside the classroom and outside and tries where possible to incorporate the world of work
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
