Zest Education are working closely with a secondary special educational needs school located in Tamworth. The school are looking for a hard-working Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic team on a full-time basis starting ASAP and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year.
This school caters for children from the age of eleven to nineteen with a wide range of educational difficulties ranging from moderate to severe and complex needs; some of the pupils have additional physical, sensory, and autistic conditions. Due to the needs of the learners, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of supporting individuals with special educational needs.
You will be required to work with the pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, so it is essential that you have a flexible approach. You will be required to quickly build engaging relationships with the pupils and support them with all areas of the curriculum.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
