Zest Education are working with a special educational needs school situated in Nuneaton to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working, and results driven teaching assistant who has experience working with SEND children. This teaching assistant role is looking to start in September 2024 and will continue into the new academic year. This school caters for students with an autism spectrum condition, or an identified social, emotional, or mental health need aged 9 – 19 years.

This is a well-respected school, that ensures students within the setting are supported throughout their time in the environment. Many of the learners in this environment find it difficult to trust individuals, so we are looking for someone that can build rapport quickly. The successful candidate will be able to work with the children 1:1 and in small groups supporting with all areas of the curriculum.

The role:

  • You must have previous experience supporting individuals with special educational needs, mental health difficulties or within a care environment
  • You will be working within a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • You must be a dedicated individual to providing children with a secure and supportive learning environment
