Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism (ASC)? A special educational needs school in Telford is currently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team. With opportunities for immediate starts or in September 2024, this is your chance to be a crucial part of a school that caters to students aged 5-18 with Autism.
As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will have a pivotal role in helping every student reach their full potential. If you have a desire to promote independence and are committed to the development of children with special educational needs, this position is perfect for you.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will provide high-quality support and education to students. Your responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher, supporting students with their work, and managing pupil behaviour. Building strong relationships with students, serving as a positive role model, and addressing individual needs will be key aspects of your role.
To excel in this position, it is essential that you have prior experience working with individuals with special educational needs. Whether you have a background in a classroom environment or in support work/care, your understanding of supporting individuals with SEND will be invaluable.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
