Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special educational needs school in Nuneaton. This full-time role is set to begin immediately, requiring availability Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 15:30.
This is a primary SEND school which caters for children from the age of 4-11 with Autism (ASC). As a successful candidate, you should possess prior experience working with individuals with SEND. The school values collaborative partnerships with parents, carers, and the community to enhance the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students.
– Support students’ social and emotional development.
– Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
– Prepare and organize learning materials.
– Monitor and report on student progress to teachers.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational environment.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive demeanour.
– Strong team player with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
