Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Coventry, starting in October 2024 on a full-time basis.
This school aims to empower each student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, helping them lead happy and fulfilled lives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Work with students aged 5-18 with moderate learning difficulties, Autism, and speech and language difficulties on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
– Engage, motivate, and encourage students to complete assigned tasks.
– Ensure students are focused and progressing towards their educational goals.
– Provide feedback on student progress and development to the classroom teacher.
– Attend to students’ physical, mental, and emotional needs to create a supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs.
– Experience with Autism, moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
– Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new one

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
