Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialised special educational needs school in Shenstone. This rewarding role is set to commence immediately, offering a long-term opportunity for the entirety of the academic year.
As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial part in supporting students aged 1-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Your primary responsibility will involve providing tailored assistance to help students thrive in a more personalised learning environment compared to traditional schools.
Our school is deeply committed to the success and well-being of each student, ensuring that they receive the specialised care and support they need to reach their full potential. We are seeking individuals who share our passion for creating a positive and nurturing learning environment to maintain our school’s ethos of excellence.
To be successful in this role, you must possess prior experience working with individuals with special educational needs, either in a classroom or care/support setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to create a safe and supportive learning space while effectively managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours.
An enthusiastic and friendly demeanour, coupled with a firm yet compassionate approach, is essential for fostering a positive educational experience for our students. While Team Teach Training is desirable, a genuine willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of our students is highly valued.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
