Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Leamington Spa. This full-time role offers an immediate start for the right candidate.
As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be instrumental in providing crucial support to students aged 3-18 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). While previous experience in a school environment is advantageous, we encourage applications from individuals with a background in supporting adults with special educational needs. We believe that diverse experiences contribute to the richness of our learning environment.
The school prides itself on nurturing independence, respect, and confidence in all students. Through a blend of classroom instruction and real-life experiences, this school aim to equip the students with the necessary skills to navigate future employment opportunities successfully.
In this role, you will work closely with students on an individual basis and in small groups, covering a range of subjects from the curriculum and fostering independence wherever possible. Adaptability and proactiveness are essential qualities as you will be required to work across various classrooms and age groups in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Effective communication skills are paramount in this role, as you will collaborate closely with class teachers and fellow teaching assistants to provide optimal support for our students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
