Teaching Assistant – Primary School (via Zest Education)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to provide targeted support.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and learning materials.
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion throughout the school day.
  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) — experience in this area is highly desirable.
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting.

  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • Reliability and a positive attitude towards teamwork and inclusion.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Zest Education).
