Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs?

Zest Education is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants at a special educational needs school in Telford. Both full and part-time positions are available for immediate start.

As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will have the opportunity to work with students aged 5-18 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). While previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable, what we value most is your previous experience in supporting individuals with special educational needs (SEND).

Your role will involve providing 1:1 support to students, as well as working with them in small groups. You will play a crucial part in preparing learning resources, setting up classrooms, and maintaining a conducive learning environment for our students.

To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills to effectively engage with learners and young people with learning disabilities. A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs, a patient and compassionate approach, and a focus on child-cantered care are essential qualities we look for in our Teaching Assistants.

At this school, you will benefit from small class sizes, with a maximum of 8 students in each class, allowing you to provide personalized support to each child. Your responsibilities will also include safeguarding the well-being of our young people, ensuring they are healthy, safe, and comfortable in their learning environment.

If you are looking for a fulfilling opportunity to support children with special educational needs and help them unlock their full potential, we invite you to join us at Zest Education.

Make a difference in the lives of our students and embark on a rewarding journey with us. Apply now to be a part of our dedicated team of educators!
