About the Role

Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Stoke-on-Trent to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The role may include working as a general classroom Teaching Assistant supporting the whole class, or providing 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

  • Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress.

  • Provide targeted 1:1 support where required.

  • Help create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.

  • Contribute to planning, assessment, and classroom organisation under the guidance of the teacher.

  • Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and parents to ensure every child thrives.


About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Has prior experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting.

  • Is patient, reliable, and committed to helping children reach their potential.

  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Can show flexibility to support across year groups or in a 1:1 capacity as required.

  • Brings enthusiasm and positivity to every school day!

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
