Part Time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

The reputable primary school located in Shard End are currently seeking a part-time teaching assistant to join our dedicated team. As a teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and enhancing the learning experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons

– Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help

– Supervising students during break times and ensuring their safety

– Collaborating with the teacher to assess students’ progress and provide feedback

Requirements:

– Previous experience working as a teaching assistant is preferred but not essential

– A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds

– Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the students and the classroom

– Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively

– A commitment to continuing professional development and staying up to date with educational best practices

This is a part-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work three days a week. The role is available to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.

The pay for this role will start from £75 a day depending on references and experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
