Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at an SEN school in Derby, with a predominant focus on supporting children with autism. This role will involve working both one-on-one with students and in group settings, as well as assisting with basic administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
– Providing support to students with autism in both individual and group settings
– Assisting with the implementation of educational plans and goals
– Engaging students in educational activities and promoting their development
– Supporting the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Completing basic administrative tasks as required

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children with autism is essential
– A passion for supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Transport: Public transport options available if necessary
