Teaching assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Harborne, who are seeking a passionate and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from 1st September 2025.

This is a full-time position, continuing for the entire academic year, and is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated TA looking to make a meaningful impact on a pupil’s learning journey.

About the Role:

  • You will be providing 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and engage positively with school life.
  • Alongside this, you’ll take on general classroom TA responsibilities, supporting the teacher and contributing to the overall classroom environment.
  • This role is best suited to someone with experience working with children with SEN, and who is able to offer patience, empathy, and consistency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent childcare subject) is essential.
  • Proven experience working in a primary setting, ideally with 1:1 SEN support.
  • A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach.
  • Someone who is hard-working, dedicated, patient, and can work collaboratively as part of a team.
