Job Description

1:1 Teaching Assistant (ASD Support) – September Start

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025
Location: West London


About the Role

We are looking for a committed and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our warm and welcoming primary school community in West London. This role involves working closely with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Key Stage 1, providing tailored support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for inclusion and a nurturing approach to learning. Previous experience working with children with ASD or in a SEN environment is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individual support during lessons and activities

  • Supporting the development of social and communication skills

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies

  • Helping the child to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life

  • Creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
