Zest Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs at a primary school in Burntwood. This is a term-time only role, offering consistent part-time hours within a supportive school environment.
This position is ideal for a Teaching Assistant with recent experience in Reception who is passionate about supporting early development and inclusion.
Position: Teaching Assistant (Additional Needs Support)
Location: Burntwood
Hours: 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
8:45am – 12:15pm
1:30pm – 3:30pm
Working Pattern: Term-time only (38 pupil weeks)
Additional Hours: INSET days may be required for training and will be paid additionally
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide targeted support to a child with additional needs
Work within a Reception classroom environment
Support learning, engagement, and emotional development
Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, parents, and carers
We are looking for someone who:
Takes pride in building positive working relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers
Has strong verbal and written communication skills
Is committed to ongoing professional development
Has recent and relevant experience working in a Reception class
Can inspire, motivate, and engage pupils through meaningful learning activities

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
