About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and patient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD on a full‑time basis. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team to provide tailored support that helps the pupil thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD throughout the school day
  • Implement personalised learning strategies and behaviour support plans
  • Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN specialists, and parents
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
  • Support classroom activities and small‑group interventions when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with ASD or additional learning needs
  • A calm, nurturing, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN training) are desirable but not essential
  • Commitment to full‑time work, Monday to Friday
