Zest Education is proud to be recruiting for a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to begin in January 2026, working full-time, Monday to Friday, through to the end of the academic term. You’ll work closely with experienced staff who truly value teamwork, creativity, and compassion.

Start Date: January 2026 | Full-Time | Monday–Friday 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils with communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in a relevant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working with children in a school or care-based environment
• Experience working with SEND, particularly ASD
• A calm, supportive, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
