Teaching Assistant – Digbeth

Job Description

Zest Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at an inner city school in Digbeth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and activities, providing additional support to students when needed
  • Collaborating with the teaching staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies
  • Supporting students with special educational needs or those facing challenges in their academic journey
  • Promoting a safe and inclusive environment for students to thrive in
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and classroom set-up

 

Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
  • A genuine passion for education and helping young learners succeed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying demands of the role

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
