Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30
Start Date: Immediate, ongoing basis for the academic year
Responsibilities:
– Assist teaching staff in planning and preparing lessons tailored to individual student needs.
– Create and organise resources for teaching and therapy sessions.
– Support students within the classroom and during unstructured times.
– Maintain detailed case notes and student profiles.
– Follow school procedures in reporting incidents and safeguarding concerns.
– Collaborate with staff to reinforce learning targets throughout the day.
– Provide support to colleagues working with students.
– Participate in supervision and training as required.
Requirements:
– Experience working with individuals with special educational needs.
– Driving license and access to a vehicle.
– Confidence in managing challenging behaviours.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
