Teaching Assistant

Zest Education are working with a busy special educational needs school located in Nuneaton to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This role is due to begin September 2024 and will continue on a long term basis for the remainder of the academic year.

This independent school that offers a supportive environment for young individuals aged 11-19 who face challenges in mainstream education due to a variety of disorders or social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning setting for these students.

We are looking for individuals who are committed, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting students with diverse educational needs. Working collaboratively with our dedicated staff, you will provide 1:1 assistance to pupils, drawing upon your experience in special educational needs to make a meaningful impact.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build strong connections with students, helping them feel comfortable and supported both in and outside the classroom. By fostering a positive relationship with each child, you will contribute to their overall development and academic progress.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
