Teaching Assistant – Oldbury

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at a school located in Oldbury. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the lives of children aged between 4 and 11, with moderate learning difficulties (MLD).

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within the school environment. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons, providing one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance, and helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with MLD and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the school’s SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individual education plans, monitor progress, and provide feedback to both students and parents.

Key Requirements:
– Experience working with children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD)

– Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support (desired but not essential)
– A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
