Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a well-established school in Rowley Regis.

This is a full-time position, starting immediately, and requires experience working with students aged between 4-11 who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional development.

In this role, you will be working in a lovely environment, surrounded by a supportive team of professionals. However, it is important to note that there may be some challenging behavior from the students. As such, experience in managing and de-escalating challenging situations is a must.

Key responsibilities of the role include providing one-on-one support to students, assisting with planning and implementing individualized learning programs, promoting positive behavior management strategies, and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

To be considered for this position, you must have previous experience working with children with SEMH needs. A relevant qualification in Special Education or a related field would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
