Zest Education is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Nuneaton starting in October 2024.
In this full-time position, you will work closely with a small class of students aged 3-11, providing them with the individual attention and care they need to thrive academically and emotionally. Your prior experience in special educational needs will be invaluable as you support students in overcoming challenges and developing essential skills.
As a Teaching Assistant at our PRU, you will collaborate with experienced teachers to create a safe and nurturing learning environment. Your ability to manage challenging behaviours with confidence will be crucial in fostering a supportive atmosphere where every student can reach their full potential.
Building strong relationships is at the heart of this role. You will have the opportunity to connect with students, families, and colleagues, creating a network of support that enhances the educational journey of each child. Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
