Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming all‑through school in Stoke-on-Trent, working with pupils across both primary and secondary phases who have autism, SEMH needs, and ADHD.

About the Role

You will be working closely with pupils who require additional support with learning, emotional regulation, communication, and behaviour. The role offers flexible working between Monday and Friday, making it ideal for candidates seeking a stable but adaptable schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with autism, SEMH, and ADHD
  • Assisting teachers across both primary and secondary classrooms
  • Supporting pupils with emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement
  • Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and progress
