The opportunity:

This opportunity as a SEND Teaching Assistant in Walsall involves working with Children with a variety of SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental health issues and EBD (Emotional Behavioural difficulties).  This particular position requires someone who is committed, empathetic, enthusiastic and resilient and also who also has excellent communication skills. You will be required to be part of a team of Teaching Assistants all committed to helping pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Experience working with Children with challenging behaviour will be a distinct advantage.

The successful applicant will be able to engage children that have become disengaged from Education and encourage and offer them support and guidance alongside the classroom teacher.

You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that have a child-centred approach to learning in every aspect of life.

What qualifications do I need?

We require 20 days or more experience (that we can reference) working with children and/or young people. Preferably you will have experience of working in a special needs setting in a previous role.

Pay and remuneration:

A Teaching Assistant specialising in behaviour support an expect to be paid between £65 – £80 per day. Working hours will be between 8:30am – 3:30pm.
