Zest Education is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a full-time teaching assistant position in the Streetly area starting in November. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in working with children and young people who have complex needs.

The school offers support to a wide age range, from 3 to 18 years old, and focuses on providing a nurturing and encouraging environment for individuals with severe learning disabilities (SLD). The main objective is to ensure the best educational outcomes for the children. Therefore, it is crucial for the ideal candidate to feel comfortable working with different age groups and be able to teach important life skills that enhance independence, communication, and social abilities.

The responsibilities of this role include:

– Assisting the classroom teacher and providing support to individual students as well as small groups.
– Regularly monitoring and sharing progress updates with families.
– Implementing an engaging curriculum that facilitates the development of crucial life skills in students.

The rate of pay for this role would be between £72 -£85 per day depending on experience and references.
