Teaching Assistant – Tamworth

Job Description

A school in Tamworth are looking for an Education Assistant to work on a 1-1 basis with a Year 4 child who has additional needs. This is a long-term role, due to start as soon as possible for the right person for the child, initially for 3 days a week.

This popular 4-11 primary school is full of extremely committed staff who work in harmony with each other, the wider community and parents/carers to ensure that the children are receiving the best possible education to support them throughout primary school and beyond.

The role will involve you working within the Y4 Class. Under the guidance of the class teacher, you will support children with their learning, helping them to progress with next steps. You will work very closely with one particular child with SEMH needs.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be eager to learn, have a positive attitude and work well as part of a team.

Good communication skills and teamwork is essential as you will be working closely and supporting the class teacher, ensuring all children stay on task and have a good understanding of the lesson objectives
