Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Full-Time & Part-Time)

About The School:

Situated in Cannock, this specialist provision supports young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs many of whom have faced challenges in mainstream education. The school emphasise small class sizes, bespoke therapeutic approaches, and a nurturing environment designed to help students thrive academically, emotionally, and personally.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Mentor, support, and inspire learners through classroom and outdoor learning activities, including curriculum-based tasks and creative interventions.
• Assist in preparing learning materials and delivering learning objectives, with a strong focus on positive behavioural management.
• Record and report on students’ progress and any barriers to learning.
• Engage regularly with parents and carers, contributing to a collaborative and supportive educational environment.

What We’re Looking For

• A committed, passionate approach to working with students with SEND (SEMH emphasis).
• Ideally, a minimum of two years’ experience in a SEND or SEMH setting (or similar provision).
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous (desirable, not essential).
• Ability to drive and access to your own vehicle – essential
