We are currently recruiting for several Teaching Assistant roles for a special educational needs school located Walsall to start as soon as possible. This position will continue on a long-term basis into the new academic year. This school caters for students from the age of seven to sixteen with Autism (ASC). The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or in a care setting.

The school aims to equip all children and young people with the necessary life skills, academic or vocational qualifications and emotional intelligence to succeed. The successful candidate must be a proactive and engaging individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of age groups.

The role:

  • You have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or in a care environment
  • You will be working with the students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting with all areas of the curriculum
  • Carry out observations on students to gather a further understanding on the students stage of development and feedback all findings to the Teacher/SENCO
