Zest are seeking a reliable and dedicated Y4 Primary School Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Tamworth.

This role will be due to start in September.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young learners, utilising effective teaching strategies to engage and inspire students. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.

We will need to reference where you most recently taught, so you must be able to provide reference details to be put forward.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Educate students in various subjects, focusing on foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social studies.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and positive behaviour.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behaviour.
  • Assess student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Requirements

  • QTS
  • Proven experience in behaviour management techniques to maintain an orderly classroom.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their love for learning.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
