Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for a rewarding role in education? We have the perfect opportunity for you! A school based in Burton, is seeking a passionate and dedicated ECT to join their team as a Year 1 Class Teacher starting January for the remainder of the academic year.
As an ECT at this school, you will have the chance to grow and develop professionally in a supportive and nurturing environment. With the option of a temp to perm opportunity after 12 weeks, this position offers long-term stability and career progression. We understand that starting your teaching career can be challenging, which is why the school provides comprehensive Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and a dedicated mentor to guide you every step of the way. The school’s experienced staff members are committed to helping you succeed, ensuring that you receive the necessary support throughout your ECT terms.
As a Year 1 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning engaging and creative lessons, effectively managing the classroom, and building strong relationships with both students and parents. You will have the opportunity to showcase your teaching skills, attend parents’ evenings, and actively contribute to staff meetings.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience working with Year 1 students (desirable)
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Passion for providing high-quality education

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
