Zest Education is partnering with a charming school in Cradley Heath, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday starting from December 2024 on an ongoing basis.
In Cradley Heath, a vibrant Primary school stands as a school that promotes excellence, nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. The school’s welcoming atmosphere and dedicated staff create a supportive environment where students thrive academically and personally.
Role responsibilities include:
– Assisting the class teacher in planning and preparing engaging lessons for students
– Supporting individual students with their learning and development
– Supervising students during class activities and maintaining classroom order
– Providing feedback to students on their work and progress
– Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
The ideal candidate should have a genuine love for working with children, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude. The school are looking for a candidate with prior experience working in a school setting preferably with children year 1 or similiar age. Knowledge of the key stage 1 curriculum. The successful candidate should have a passion for education and a nurturing attitude.
Pay will begin from £77.00 per day and will depend on references and experiences.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
