📚 The Role

As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play an active role in supporting pupils’ learning and development every day. Working alongside the class teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging activities that reinforce classroom learning and spark curiosity.
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, ensuring consistent progress.
• Encourage positive behaviour while maintaining a well‑organised classroom environment.
• Guide children in their social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and community events.

By stepping into this role, you will directly influence children’s early learning experiences and help them build strong foundations for the future.

👩‍🏫 The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate about education. Ideally, you will:

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
• Bring experience working with children, particularly within a primary school setting.
• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Stay organised and manage tasks efficiently.
• Adapt creatively to meet diverse learning needs.
• Approach challenges with positivity and resilience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
