Position: Full-Time Year 1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School just outside Erdington
Start Date: As soon as possible
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a difference in their educational journey? Zest Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Full-Time Year 1 Teaching Assistant at a welcoming primary school located just outside Erdington.
The school offers a rich environment where the children can develop independence and achieve personal success preparing them for their future.
Role Overview:
– Providing one-to-one support to students in Year 1
– Assisting the class teacher in creating a nurturing learning environment
– Conducting activities to aid in the educational development of students
– Supporting students with special educational needs
– Collaboration with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children
– Knowledge of restraint training is beneficial
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively within a team
– Passion for supporting children’s educational growth

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
