Full-Time Year 2 Teacher – Birmingham | January 2026 Start | KS1 Teaching Job

This exciting opportunity will begin in January 2026 and continue until the end of the academic year (July 2026). It’s the perfect role for an enthusiastic teacher who’s committed to helping pupils flourish both academically and personally.
About the Role
As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you’ll be responsible for leading a well-behaved and enthusiastic class of 28 pupils, supported by an experienced and friendly Teaching Assistant. Together, you’ll create a dynamic, nurturing classroom where every child feels valued and motivated to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils with varying learning styles and individual needs
Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback to support continued development
Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and safeguarding
Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and promote a positive school ethos

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a passionate and reliable KS1 teacher who is eager to contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have solid experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (preferably Year 2/SAT’s)
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum
Be confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively and positively
Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
Show a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
